A hot summer day is the perfect time to visit the RHS Bridgewater Garden in Salford, just 30 minutes by bus from the center of Manchester. CONTINUES BELOW
The garden, which opened last year, is on the site of the majestic pile New Worsley Hall.
Some of the old architecture remains, while an elegant new building houses visitor facilities.
The focal point of Bridgewater is a large walled garden which was full of colorful plants and flowers when I visited. Seems like it’s been established for decades, not just a few years.
Wooded trails and meadows are also part of the site, full of grasses and wild foxgloves as I walked around the site.
RHS Bridgewater is already a huge success, with many visitors I didn’t expect. It was a challenge to take photos that made it look like I had the place all to myself!
