I have recently decided to come back looking for a job after a personal absence of 2 years. In that time, I did a lot of fumbling about github and contributed to a bunch of projects, both on my own and others’ projects. I haven’t gotten around to accomplishing much, just a little addition here and there. So when I’m applying for new jobs, I’m just wondering how many headhunters and recruiting employees will see commit dates as a big factor on my resume.
